Hi,
In the early stage of a startup, the key to success is to assemble an A team, the founding team of course but also the first team members.
The feedback we always get is attracting talent is hard when you have no money and our answer is always the same : Good, you have money, you may not have dollars but you have your equity. Use it to attract talents.
It’s the most profitable thing you can do, because the ROI on talent is always high.
With a great team , you will attract more business angels and seed funds and most probably at a higher valuation. So 10-15% dilution at a very early stage to attract talents should be seen at getting less but ultimately getting more and the best way to increase your chances of success.
